from Homes for Working Girls to
the Fund for Italian War Ophans;
there were no children and life plan-

Gag days, committee meetings and
what she liked to call "personal serv-

"made" a party. Mrs. Isaacs, a pa-
troness of the settlement, dropped in
at one of their meetings one after-
noon and beamed graciously all
through the program. Myer was
president -that term and the impul-
sive lady decided that he was "too
cute for anything," as he wielded his
gavel and called the club to order.
The very next day, she sent him sev-
eral books and a box of candy; a
week later she called upon the family
and gave the embarrassed Mrs. Tobin
