Winter Fashions Promise to
Be Conspicuous.

While freakish modes are altogether
tabooed, fashions in gowns and
wraps are marked by elegance which
is secondary only to their distin-
guished simplicity.
Just now the modish little coatee
of fur is much in evidence. B. Siegel
Co. shows them in Kolinsky, Beaver,
Seal, Grey Squirrel, and some other
of the shorter haired pelts. These
are worn over a smart, one-piece
frock of satin, velvet or duvetyne.
Many velvet gowns are HOW to be
seen. One especially lovely evening
gown is of black velvet fashioned in
princess efTect. The supple material
is draped from kit to right and
caught under a panel which falls from
the decollate at the hack. The bodice
is in surplice effect, the velvet form-
ing one side while pale flesh tinted
chiffon forms the other side.
A beautiful dinner gown is made of
blue Georgette Crepe and has a deep
band of velvet bordering the lower
part of the skirt over which the crepe
falls in tunic effect. The sash girdle
is of velvet.
Another lovely dinner gown is of
blue velvet petunia in shade—a
curious blending of purple and blue.
This model falls from the shoulders
in unbroken lines and slips over the
head in chemise fashion. The long
'sleeves are looped at the elbow and
have a depending streamer from the
elbow falling quite to the edge of
the skirt, the bottom of the gown
falls away in a long train faced with
bright blue satin.—Advt.
