The Jewish Woman's Club of De-
troit 0 planning a winter Si activities,
unusual both in point of interest and
scope. hit programs will be of a
patriotic character, dealing with sub-
jects that have a wide appeal.
'Ihe first Sunday meeting will be
held October 6, on which occasion
l'rof. \\*tn. H. Hobbs, of the Univer-
sity Of Nlichigan, will speak oil "The
Peace Terms of Democracy.'
For the Monday meetings the Club
has been fortunate in securing Nlad-
atilt .knnetta Holliday .Mitona, former
dean of the \\*timan's College at
Tokio, Japan. and a journalist of note.
Mme. Antona will discuss current
events, as well as music, the drama
and art. These meetings promise to
be of exceptional interest and will be
accompanied by some special war
service.
The l'atriotic Service Committee is
contemplating much work in co-oper-
ation with the Red Cross, the \\*oni-
all's Committee, Council of National
Defense, the Jewish \Velfare Board,
as well as continuing its affiliation
with all departments of the Detroit
Federation of \\*omen's Clubs.
It is planned to make the work of
the Club even more telling than
usual this year, and it is hoped that
all members will lend their hearty
and active co-operation to the cause.
