Wide variety is seen in the new sea-
son's blouses and in B. Siegel's fall
displays there is no lack of beautiful
styles. They are of every type and
the materials are chiefly Georgette
Crepe, fancy silk waists, satin waists
and Chantilly laces.
In washable blouses, satin striped tub
silks and washable satin are favored.
Purple and white stripe tub silk goes
to the making of both and high-neck
tailored blouses of an unimpeachable
smartness. In the high-neck models
a stock and tab cravat and bottled cuffs
of white pique provide the finishing
touch, while with the low-necked mod-
els, broad box pleated white organdy
collars and cuffs fulfill this function.
Many of the new blouses show an
"over-the-skirt" arrangement of some
sort. either in front or back or both.
It may be a bib-shaped front section
or a hanging back panel or a waist-
coat effect. A lovely blouse in bis-
cuit Georgette has a bib-shaped front
section below the waist spotted with
beads at intervals. On this back-
ground is set a bold design in navy
blue beads and a band of biscuit bead-
ing outlines the square neck and col-
lar. This is a beautiful blouse, but
no more so than one of castor Georg-
ette with binding and hanging buttons
of dull, blue beads.
Some of the new blouses have large
revers of the material tucked at the
hack and sides of the collar, the ful-
ness falling softly, nearly to the waist-
line at the front.
Many dresses have immense square
collars hanging in the hack with silk
tassels to match at each corner.—Adv.

SENSIBLE SIX

FOR the FAMILY to ENJOY

I

T is evident that there will
be more women driving
their own cars from now
on than ever before.

It is evident also that the na-
tional policy of careful expen-
diture will not be disregarded
by women who buy cars.

In view of these facts this new
Oakland Sensible Six Sedan
(unit body) could not possibly
have appeared more oppor-
tunely.

One of the most noticeable ad-
vantages of the two-door body
on this Oakland Sensible Six
Sedan is its accessibility and
convenience.

Its quick and able engine, its
simple construction, its perfect
balance and its short turning
radius, make it a car that a
woman can drive without haz-
ard or fatigue. •

Its moderate first-cost is but

the beginning of an economy
which lasts throughout the
car's entire life, and which ob-
tains in every detail of its op-
eration.

The comfort and shelter it af-
fords in year 'round driving
combines maximum useful-
ness with thrift.

The unit body of the Oakland
Sensible Six Sedan is beauti-
fully proportioned, and from
the three-piece windshield to
the broad rear window is fine-
ly equipped.

The front seats are of the in-
dividual type, and like the
wide tonneau seat and the car
interior, are upholstered in
gray automobile cloth.

Conversion from a closed win-
ter equipage to an open car for
summer touring is easily
made; the windows can be
lowered into the car.

One may drive this Sedan
proudly in any company, and
always at a cost within reason.
