The women of the Red Cross unit
of the Shaarey Zedek Congregation
arc very proud of the privilege that
has been accorded them by Red Cross
headquarters to keep their work room
open as usual during the summer
months. Announcement had been
made by the officials of the Red Cross
that in order to conserve the energies
of a number of small units throughout
the city whose forces are curtailed
during the summer months, all such
units would meet hereafter at the
work rooms of the headquarters in
the Book Building.
The Shaarey Zedek unit, howet er,
has reported no let-up in the en-
thusiasm and attendance of its mem-
bers despite the vacation period and
in recognition of this patriotic spirit
the unit has been granted the privi-
lege of continuing its work as usual
on Monday evenings and all day on
Wednesdays. 'Vile unit is turning out
an unusually large quantity of surgi-
call dressings, garments and knit
goods, and an attempt is being made
to better the record made during the
winter season in the next few months.
