Detroit Lodge. No. Ill, Order of lirith Abraham, has unanimously vot- . ed to suspend the dues for the dura- tion of the war of those lodge mem- bers that are now serving in the army or nal). for Uncle Sam. The Detroit lodge is one of the first lodges of the order to take such action. 'Hie history of the Detroit Lodge is a long and creditable one. It has been a vital part of our communal life for over thirty years. Some years after the formation of this lodge, a new lodge was founded. the NI ichi- gati Lodge, No. 139. The fact was soon evident that two lodges could not be as conducive to the general good of the community as could one amalgamated lodge. The members of the old lodge directed their ef- forts to secure amalgamation of these two lodges, and it was largely due to the untiring efforts of Mr. H. Balding, Deputy Grand Nlaster of Michigan, that the work was com- pleted and the two lodges amalga- mated as one. The lodge as it exists today has over 300 members and is on a sound financial footing. The officers are: Abraham Lewis, Presi- dent: Wm. Goldstick, Vice-President; M. Lightstone, Secretary, and Wm. Jerlin, Treasurer. The meetings are held every other Sunday afternoon at Ehrlich Hall. at 2 P. M. PALESTINE ADMINISTRATION INSPECTS JEWISH COLONIES LOUIS MUSCOVITZ BENJ. Prop. vol LAKESIDE HOTEL Endeared to the Hearts of Thousands of Detroiters and Michigan Residents NEW COMMODIOUS Banquet Hall and Dancing Pavilion Music Every Night Picnic Parties, Clubs and Societies Welcome Enriched in its simplicity and homelike environment, through a genuine fond- ness for entertaining by the well-known and ever-popular host and hostess, Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Rohde. Many years have seen changes in and around Detroit, many improvements have been made, including Lakeside Inn, which is a model of everything new, but the genial smile and warm greeting of Mr. Rohde and "Ma" Rohde has remained through all. Visitors from far and near have been won by the gracious wife of the Inn prop- rietor, and well deserved is the reputation she enjoys as that of the lady who main- , tains a public dinner table second to none in all the middle west, Lakeside Hotel is a splendid place to enjoy a dinner of fish, frog and chicken and game in season, and with much concern and pride do the host and hostess strive to please, but in spite of this it is also generally known that if the fish get to biting good and patrons mildly challenge the Rohdes to a tilt with hook and line, up they get and off they go "pelt mell," for they both love the sport and many trips do they enjoy each season. Lakeside Hotel is a first-class summer resort, where every modern convenience has been installed for the comfort of the patrons, and is a monument to the thrift and aptitude of Mr. and Mrs. Rohde, who have successfully traveled the road of life. Perfect team-mates, with the objective "success" as their goal, but not to be reached at the cost of one whit of honor. An effusive welcome always awaits the patron to Lakeside and parents who desire a safe place to bring the "kiddies" for a week-end and every other person or private parties who would enjoy a thoroughly pleasant outing will be very well satis- fied with a visit to the one bright spot five minutes' ride from Mt. Clemens, on a perfectly good automobile road to and from Detroit., '5' 'Ale.-.'6 1,0.1.1116.10.1.1 ).-011111.4'.14,- 1011 0.141. 10. -0:01&07-100 -0 11V- 1 4tt igh- V.W.,
