The New Bathing Suits.

Are Picturesque Without Being

Freakish.
The new bathing suits for 1918
succeed in being attractive. There
are bizarre models, to be sure, for the
women who want them, but they are
the exception as nine nut of every len
,suits are conservative. Yet the) pos-
sess a Jude of individuality and a
woman may (1011 the model that ap-
peals to her fancy and look pictur-
esque without being conspicuous.
The Jersey vest or 511102k allii the
drawers or tights is a favored snit
and 11. Siegel Co. are showing this
costume in a very w'ir'e varn,% of
colors and fancy borders. It is wade
of line wool or silk Jersey. T!-.; hest
of the dark ones arc brightened by
little touches of gay odor. A suit
o
f dark green, for instance, show;
stripes of red, yellow and dark blue
bordering the smock and lower edge
of the drawers. A narrow band in the
smile tone
outlines the neck and
sleeve. Another snit similar in all
save coloring is of dark blue with
trimmings of clear, bright green.•
This House shows great varieties ill
bathing hats and caps. Considei.ilde
charm is seen in hats of bright Jim,'
robber trimmed with rubber equally
bright. There are also bathing caps
that time their smartness to the com-
bination of a sombre tint with bright
tone or tones and white. Laced boots
are very popular and boots of black
and white with white lacings or grepti
and red with white lacings are pre-
ferred. Rut the laced low shoe is
still first favored and looks better on
I the average foot than a laced boot.-
