The second of the series of book
eviews given by the Monday after-
noon meetings of the Jewish Wo-

December 19, when Mrs. Oscar Rob-
inson gave a most comprehensive
synopsis of Ida Tarbell's widely read
book, "The Business of Being a
roan," open discussion being led by
I Mrs. Bemnosche. Spirited discussion
followed the contention that woman's
depth may he reached through her own
home, that good results can and
should be acsomplished through the
influence in the Ironic. Mrs. S. Glow-

Happy New Year

Some forty-odd people were sched-
uled to leave for Camp Custer, Battle
Creek, Sunday morning, December 9,
to distribute the 600 Chanukah boxes
prepared by the Young People's Aux-
iliary of Shaarey Zedek for the Jewish
soldiers at camp. Eleven brave souls
showed up at the station and duly
started on their way.
After four and a half hours our train
crawled into Battle Creek, where,
after unlimbering our stiffened joints,
we were received by a delegation
headed by Mrs. Kapp and Mr. Rosen-
field, the heads of the Ladies' Aux-
iliary and local Jewish Welfare Board,
