One of the delightful affairs of
the past week was the dinner given
on Sunday evening of last week at
the Phoenix Club in honor of Mrs.
Rebecca Kohut, the Board of Di-
rectors of the Jewish Woman's
Club acting as hostesses. Miss
Miriam Goldman, president of the
club, introduced the speakers of the
evening, Mrs. Kohut, Rabbi Frank-
lin, Rabbi Mayerberg and Rabbi
Hershman, Mrs. Kohut told in a
most interesting manner of her
work as the head of the bureau for
assisting unemployed young
women in New York, and also
spoke of her duties as a member
of the Committee on National De-
fense. Covers were laid for 45
guests.
