THE JEWISH CHRONICLE SOCIETY Mrs. Benjamin Weinberg spent the week-end in Toledo as the guest of her sisters, Mrs. L. lfeinsheimer and Miss Epstein. A POT-POURRI OF FALL AND WINTER FASHIONS. Innumerable are the charming gowns, coats and costume suits and Houses that B. Siegel Co. arc show- ing, new and interesting things have also artIved for dinner parties at fashionable restaurants. This year the extreme decollete gown is not favored even for elaborate creations The gown may be fashioned of as costly materials as the wearer wishes or can afford to spend, but the nor- mal lines of the figure must be re- tained. This is a season when women should be grateful for the delightful things fashion has bestowed. Be she svelte, the straight, slender lines with the long close buttoned sleeves, and drooping, shoulders will become her. While if her figure is inclined to stout- ness these same straight lines will prove advantageous to her. Also she may rejoice either in a moderately short costume or in one wherein the long coat and overskirt :re in collusion to produce the new double tunic effect. And her more severe sister may prudently cover her ankles and select the unbroken lines which are also correct. On many of the new gowns the panel effect is introduced. A smart one-piece afternoon model that B. Siegel Co. are showing is fashioned fro m velours and trimmed with em- broidered colored braid and fur. The bodice and skirt at the front and back are in panel effect, edged at the lower part With fur. The sides of the skirt at the upper part are embroidered with braid. The jacket bodice at the sides is also embroidered with fine, soutaelle braid. There is a colored silk collar and the double sash which encircles the waist is also of the col- ored silk in the same tone as the braid.—Adv. nwei. - 45kcJ6 Lingerie that has the distinction and qualit9 of the day.
