A Future Citizen

Never has footwear played such an important part
in the attire of fashionable women. Style, fit, beauty,
comfort, attractiveness are necessary and insisted
upon for the most noticeable feature of women's at-
tire is her shoes.

Our Second Floor presents many very unusual style
effects of a distinctive character. Prominent in the display
are these

COLORED BOOTS AT $8.00

They are in the following color combinations: Patent vamps
with gray and fawn oose tops; plum brown vamps with brown oose
tops, in the style as pictured.

LATE NEWS REGARDING VOG-
ISH AUTUMN FASHIONS.

Since the simple silhouette is an es-
tablished fact, at least for months to
come, an opportunity has been given
women, through B. Siegel Co.'s au-
tumn style display, to get a nearby
view of all the charming details that
Dame Fashion has to show.
One of the recent Parisian edits is
that wool embroidery is to be an im-
portant factor in the trimming of au-
tumn dresses. Embroidery done with
threads of silk has gone by, but in
place of it they are drawing woolen
threads through the softest of fab-
rics. This house is showing this on
silk and satin and on serge and velvet.
No longer are the patterns confined
to a group of roses or a chain of dais-
ies, but the bright colored wool is
used to work out a design directly
upon the gown, directly upon the spot
■ vhere it will live until the whole cre-
ation has become passe.
Fur is again to be used lavishly.
The matter of collars is one of consid-
erable breadth. Those of fur run
very large. Last year they were
large, but the coming winter will
prove those of twelve months ago
small by comparison.
Women who do not want to indulge
in "precious" furs will be able to find
in B. Siegel Co.'s assortment plenty
of tailored suits without fur trim-
ming. The collar may be of the nar-
row, notched effect, which is decidedly
masculine in style. With such a suit
may be worn the independent fur set
of fox, lynx, kolinsky, mink, mole or
seal skin. The muff will be optional,
because the cuffs on many of the tai-
lored suits are arranged in such a
manner that they offer protection to
the hands as well as to the forearm.-
