Ti the death of Mrs. Abby Van
Baalen, 68 years old, in Chicago, Sun-
day night, a happy wedded career of
more than 50 years was brought to
termination. Mrs. Van Baalen was
the wife of E. H. Van Baalen, a for-
mer Detroit business man. They left
Detroit, March 29 this year to make
Chicago their home, and April 7 cele-
brated their golden wedding anniver-
sary.
Mrs. Van Baalen's body was
brought to Detroit Tuesday by the
husband and children. Funeral serv-
ices were held in Blakes' chapel, 54
Teterboro street, at 11 o'clock Wed-
nesday morning. Burial was private.
Rabbi Leo M. Franklin officiated.
The children who survive are Mrs.
Isadore Kuttnaucr, Mrs. Adolph S.
Kuttnauer and Mrs. Edward Kutt-
natter, of Chicago; I. Van Baalen,
Youngstown, 0., and William Van-
Baalen of Chicago.
