furter, of the Harvard Law School,

going to the Near East on an im-
portant mission, having for its main
objects collecting information to he
used as a basis for a movement to
prevent massacres of Hebrews and the
oppression of the Hebrew population
of Palestine and other parts of the
Sultan of Turkey's possessions. While
the mission has the sympathy of the

United States Government, officials
said tonight. that it had not been de-
termined yet whether an authoritative
status would be given to it.

stein are prominent in the Zionist
movement, but their prospective jour-
ney has nothing to do with the project
for the establishment of a Zionist state
somewhere in the Near East. It was
said in an official quarter that the
