The Dingeman Company

ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS
AND ENGINEERS

Phone Cherry 2721

Something like 10 years ago H. A.
Dingeman started in the electrical
business for himself. Six months ago
he moved downtown, establishing at
206 Randolph street under the name
of The Dingeman Co., and such has
been the increase in his activities that
he soon will have to have larger quar-
ters and equipment.
The Dingeman Co. specializes in
the installing, wiring and repairing of
electrical motors, also does general
contracting and engineering. The
company has just finished wiring all
of the conveyors in the local post-
office and has a contract for similar
work in Ypsilanti.
A. H. Wilson, who ranks high as a
mechanical and electrical engineer,
lately has joined the company, acting, ,,
as superintendent and having an it}
terest. Mr. Dingeman regards Mr.
Wilson as the best man anywhere on
the mechanical end and looks for an
increase in work among the industries
where Mr. Wilson is well known.
Nitrogen, Mazda and other lamps
are carried in stock by the Dingeman
Co., which is pleased to give estimates
on new work or repairing with a
guarantee of service and satisfaction.

REAL ESTATE ACTIVITIES UN-
DERGOING TREMENDOUS
BOOST.
Real estate activities throughout the
United States in the last year have
been at almost record height, in compar-
ison to many previous years. This is
because of the great prosperity which
the country has enjoyed for two years,
in which practically every city has
shared by reason of having its indus-
tries and general business stimulated.
People are turning more to facts, and
realtors are operating on the basis of
facts; so, the result is an active national
real estate market, a proper range of
values, and an unusually bright future.
It must he remembered that if indus-
try controls real estate values, it natural-
ly follows that the present year will
witness a continuation of the active and

healthy real estate market, because in-
dustry is now, and will continue to be,
stimulated to the greatest point ever
recorded in the history of this country.
The shrewest financiers in the coun-
try are not allowing the present con-
ditions to affect their operations, nor
to alter their investments, as they know
that this country will only be beneficially
affected by the developments from a
business standpoint, and after it is all
over, investments will have increased
in value to the extent of returning tre-
mendous profits. This country has been
at war as much in the past three months
as it will he in the next six months, but
big capital has been investing in real
estate on a surpassing scale since the
first of the year. This should be suffi-
cient encouragement to the modest in-
vestor.

NEW BUILDERS' SUPPLY COM-
PANY IS INCORPORATED.

Nicholas J. Engel Is Manager of
Cadillac Clay Co.

The Cadillac Clay Co. was incor-
porated on - March 1, taking over the
business of the Nicholas J. Engel Co.,
and moving from 730 to 1550 Penob-
scot building. N. J. Engel is the gen-
eral manager of the company, which
conducts a wholesale business in
building materials.
The company specializes in clay
products, including sewer pipe, flue
linings, stove pipe, chimney tops, wall
coping and double strength pipe.
Dealers of Michigan and northern
Indiana are supplied by the company,
whose lines are a standard in the
market.
In addition the company handles
the Utica natural cement, which
comes from Illinois, and is a favorite
with builders.
"The car situation has had builders'
supply men staying awake nights,"
remarked Mr. Engle, "but it has
eased somewhat of late and shipments
are arriving, although of course we
cannot tell whether this is to continue
or be cut off. The heavy demand
and that fact that it has been hard to
get the materials have affected the
market, which, just now, is consider-
ably higher than it was a year ago."
