Mr. and Mrs. S. Messinger have
returned to their home in Alma,
after a short stay in Detroit.
The Phoenix Country Club pre-
sented a scene of unusual activity
on Wednesday a large number of
members, taking advantage of the
holiday to spend a clay on the links.
Several parties who did not indulge
in golf merely motored out to the
club and remained .for supper which
was served in the large dining
room. In the evening an informal
dance had been arranged for, a
number of the younger members
going out in time for this.
Mrs. William Pitzcle of Lorraine
Ohio, was the guest of her sister
Mrs. Max Pollasky of Monterey
avenue during the week.
Mrs. M. C. \Veil of Virginia
Park has arrived home from a
visit in French Lick Springs.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Welt spent
several days in Toledo last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Wine-
man of 120 Kirby avenue east will
be at home to their friends on Sun-
day evening, June the third, in
honor of their (laughter Helen, and
Mr. Ilary Farbstein, whose mar-
riage will be an event of Monday
June the fourth.
Miss Edith Heavenrich has re-
turned from a visit with Mr. and
Mrs. Herbert I Ieavenrich i n
Evanston, Ill.
Mrs. Emanuel T. Berger of Law-
rence avenue has arrived home
from a visit in Atlantic City.

Mrs. E. Louis Jacobs of Far
Rockaway, Long Island, spent a
few days in the city as the guest
of her sister, Mrs. John I I eaven-
rich.

'Air. and Irs. Bernard B. Selling
of Virginia l'ark have left for an
extended visit in the east.

arrive in the city shortly to he the

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Roths-
child, and daughter Elaine Frances
are the guests of Mrs. Rothschild's
parents Mr. and Mrs. David Kohn
in Cincinnati.

.Liss Sara Salan who has been
the guest of Miss Sophia Ackerman
has returned to her home in Fort
Wayne, Ind.

Mrs. David Scheyer was hostess
at a luncheon on Tuesday 110011,
given in honor of her birthday an-
niversary. Covers were laid for
nineteen.

Among the out-of-town guests
who will arrive in the city to be
present at the Wineman-Farhstein
wedding on Monday will be Mr.
and Mrs. Irving Bettman, Mr. and
Mrs. Phoelix Cann, Mr. and Mrs.
F. Guthman, Mr. and Mrs. Victor
Trounstine, Mr. and Mrs. A. Cann,
all of Cincinnati, Mr. and Mrs. Ar-
thur Victor of Buffalo, N. V., and
Mr. Joseph Wineman of Indian-
apolis.
