Mayerberg- , who was recently elected to serve as as- sistant rabbi of Temple Beth El, is to be married to Miss Gertrude Rothschild of Cleveland, Ohio, on June 17th. Miss Rothschild is a college graduate and she has been active in the public and Sabbath schools of her native. city, and she takes an active interest in. all things Jewish. Many delightful entertainments were given during the past month in honor of 'Miss Sara Duscoll, whose marriage to Mr. Morrey Mendelsohn will take place on Wednesday, May 30th. Miss Marian Meisner was hostess at a card party, followed by a luncheon, at her home. Miss Ethel Miller gave a box party at the Temple, later tak- ing her guests to the Pontchartrain. The Misses Anna and Golda Mendelsohn gave a dinner at the Cadillac, followed by a theater party at the Garrick, later taking their guests to the Mac- Diarmids tea rooms. Mrs. Sydney Alexander gave an "auction bridge" party at her home, followed by a dainty luncheon.
