my methods are painstaking. I make
a
thorough examination of every case coming
under my care. Do not be satisfied with an un-
scientific test. Come to my once, which is quiet,
relax your nerves and be examined under ideal con-
ditions. That is half the reason of my success. My patients
are my best advertisment.

Permanent Officers Elected—Bernard Ginsburg Added to Vice-
Presidents--Make Plans for Convention to Nominate
Delegates to Congress Monday, May 14
Delegates representing 80 Jewish
organizations of Detroit met last
Monday evening at the Shaarey Ze-
dek Synagogue for the purpose of
election of officers and administrative
board for the local Jewish Congress
Organization in accordance with the
revised rules laid down by the Na-
tional Congress Committee. Each
organization was entitled to send two
delegates to this meeting. The fact
that 80 out of a total of 91 local Jew-
ish organizations responded is a com-
pliment to the efficient directing abil-
ity of the officers of the local com-
mittee who have strained every en-
ergy during the past four months to
make the Detroit Congress movement
trilly representative of Detroit Jewry.
The elections disnlaved the confi-
dence of the delegates in the person-
nel of its officers and board. All offi-
cers and members of the board re-
turned as delegates to the new com-
mittee were re-elected unanimously.
The only addition was the election of
Mr. Bernard Ginsburg as one of the
vice-nresidents. The complete list of
officials follows: General chairman,
Rabbi A. M. Hershman; vice-presi-
dents, Bernard Ginsburg, George Ay-
ruin ; corresponding secretary, Ben-
iamin Robinson; Yiddish secretary,
Toseph Chaggie; financial secretary,
Morris Zackhcin: treasurer, David
Robinson. The board consists of
David W. Simons, Milton Alexander,
Rabbi J. B. Levin, Rabbi Aishishkine,
DETROIT NATIONAL FUND
COMMITTEE TO AID PALES-
TINIAN JEWS .
Flower Day. Sunday, May 20, to Raise
Funds for Relief of Unfortunates
Now Being Persecuted by
Turks.
---
The grf.at eplamitv has befallen the
Tew in Palestine according to latest
press reports. The horrors of the Ar-
menian massacres by the Turkish gov-
ernment are now being Perpetrated on
the Tewich nomilation in the Holy Land.
Fierce fighting is doing on between
Turkish and British troons, who now
control 85 ner cent of Palestine, Big
it happens that the remaining 15 per cent
is in the vicinity of Jerusalem and the
territory is mainly colonized by Jews.
The National Fund during the war
has largely alleviated the suffering of
the needy Palestinian Jews. A dollar
given for the National Fund means a
dollar less needed for the War Suffer-
ers' Fund. The selling of flowers on
Flower Day is the means of aiding the
work of the war sufferers' campaign in
Detroit.
The committee calls on all Jewish
young women to respond to the call for
assistance coming from Palestine and
to volunteer to sell flowers on Flower
Day. Three hundred girls are needed
for this work. An organization meeting
of the workers will he held Wednesday
evening, May 16. at the home of I. L.
Scheinman, 90 Rowena street.
The associated Jewish branch of the
Red Cross at Bridgeport.. Conn.. has 350
members, and has started a campaign to
increase the number to 1,000.

WHAT $250,000
REPRESENTS
A Few Interesting Sidelights on
the Detroit Campaign for the
Relief of Jewish War
Sufferers.
$250,000 will keep a million Jews
from starvation for eight days.
It would feed a "bread-line"
4,576 miles in length, or a line ex-
tending from New York to Frisco
and back to Des Moines, Iowa.
If divided among every Jew in
America, each would receive eight
cents. •
It represents the business of a
factory doing an annual volume of
$3,000,000, and employing 2,000
wOrkers.
