Sunday of last week was students' day at Temple Beth El, the officers of
the congregation having issued invitations to all Jewish students at Ann Arbor
as well as those attending local institutions, to be present at a special service
arranged for them. In the neighborhood of 75 students took advantage of the
privilege, being present at services in the morning and the guests of the con-
gregation for the remainder of the day. The Woman's Auxiliary took charge
of the visitors for the noon meal, a number of ladies acting as hostesses in
their homes. Among them were Mrs. Oscar Robinson, Mrs. Hugo A. Freund,
Mrs. David Sheyer, Mrs. Albert Kahn, Mrs. Leo M. Franklin, Mrs. Sol
Kaufman, Mrs. William Rindscoff, Mrs. Monroe Rosenfield, Mrs. L. Simon,
Mrs. A. Shiffman, Mrs, Max May, Mrs. A. Ermann, Mrs. Jacob Brown, Mrs.
Henry M. Fechimer, Mrs. Adolph Sloman, Mrs. Louis Welt, Mrs. Leopold
Wineman and Mrs. S. M. Goldsmith. In the evening the students were
guests of the Young People's Society, supper being served at eight o'clock in
the Temple, followed by an entertainment and dancing. The address of the
evening was given by Mr. Samuel D. Frankel, president of the Student Con-
gregation, which was followed by a one-act sketch entitled "How a Woman
Keeps a Secret," the following young ladies taking part: Misses Freda Ma-
danes, Elsa Decker, Dorothy Weinstein, Ettienne Shapiro, Gladys Blumenthal,
Janet Granet, Mina Bing and Phyllis Zuckerman. Musical numbers were fur-
nished by Miss Zuckerman and Louis B. Emerman of Ann Arbor.

Federation of Musical Clubs and the
executive board of the Tuesday Mu-
sical at her home on Friday after-

Mr. and Mrs. M. Shapiro of 145
