Mrs. J., Oppenheim and son, Aud-
rey, who have been the guests of Miss
Beatrice Oppenheim and Mrs. Her-
bert Levey of Seward avenue, have
returned to their home in Hartford,
ich.

Mrs. Max Cohn arrived home from
New York on Sunday.
An elaborate dinner was given by
Miss Lillian Friedman in honor of
Miss Sara Duscoff, whose engage-
ment to Mr. Morrey Mendelsohn was
an event of last week. The house
was artistically decorated with smi-
lax and baskets of roses adorning the
nooks and corners. A beautiful cen-
terpiece composed of Ward roses,
orchids and valley lilies served as the
table decoration. Covers were laid
for sixteen.

Amidst a most charming setting in
harmony with the occasion, Mr. and
Mrs. Nathan Friedman of 101 Rhode
island avenue, entertained their many
friends last Sunday in honor of the
fifteenth anniversary of their mar-
riage. The coziness of their pretty
home was accentuated by a veritable
shower of floral decorations which,
together with appropriate music from
a string orchestra produced a con-
gratulatory spirit that thrilled the
hosts and guests alike. The out-of-
town visitors were Mrs. Nathan Un-
ger of Chicago, mother of the anni-
versary "bride," Mr. and Mrs. Jos.
Friedman and Mr. and Mrs. Louis H.
Mark, both of Toledo, Ohio. Among
the guests of this city were Mr. and
Mrs. Wm. Levin, Mr. and Mrs. H.
Solomon, Mr. and Mrs. Rapport, Mr.
and Mrs. Walker, Mr. and Mrs. T.
Weinberger, Rabbi and Mrs. Leo M.

The National Jewish Hospital for
Consumptives at Denver will receive
$10,000, according to the terms of the
will of Mrs. Carrie Wormser, of New
York, who died a short time ago.

Mrs. I. L. Rypins, wife of Rabbi
Rypins, of St. Paul, Minn., has been
elected a member of the Better Hous-
ing Commission of the St. Paul As-
sociation of Commerce.
