Justice I;randeis was criticised by
co-religionists for the stand he took
July I() at a conference held here
to consider the advisability of call-
ing a national congress of Jews.
In an address he opposed a proposal
to bind the congress to any specific

Jewish immigrants have arrived in
Seattle since the war, making it an

hardly any doubt that direct immi-
gration to the West will have dis-
placed the indirect method of dis-
tribution, a highly satisfactory re-
