Engagement Announced
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph NIutnik
and son, of Cleveland, have come
to Detroit to make their home.
:\liss Bloom of Cincinnati is
spending the summer in Detroit,
the guest of relatives and friends.
Messrs. Adolph Freund and Al-
bert W. Schloss were re-elected to
the National Board of Trustees of
the Jewish Hospital for Consump-
tives at Denver, Colo., at the an-
nual meeting of the hospital on
Monday, June 19th.
• Mr. and Mrs. Louis Welt left on
Friday for Omena, Mich., where
they will be the guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Melville \Veit for two weeks.
Mrs. Jacob G. Brown and fam-
ily, and Mrs. Walter Fuchs and
children have taken a cottage at
Omena for the summer.
Mrs. Yetta Butzel is at Charle-
voix, Mich.
Mrs. Etta Glicman has returned
from a visit with her daughter in
Hatbush, N. Y.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown
and sons, Douglas and Bernard,
left Monday for a motor trip
through the Berkshire Hills and
the White Mountains.
Mr. and Mrs. M. Weiss and
daughter, Doris, left last week to
spend the 'summer at Atlantic
Highlands and other eastern re-
sorts.
Miss Sarah Lefkofsky, of 243
Medbury Ave., is spending her va-
cation with relatives in Pittsburgh,
Pa.
Mrs. Julius Goldberg and Mr.
and Mrs. Samuel T. Goldberg are
at the Beach Hotel, Charlevoix,
for the summer.
Rabbi and Mrs. Leo M. Frank-
lin celebrated their 20th wedding
anniversary on Saturday, July 15th, Mr. and Mrs. E. Walters r.nd
at Omena, where they are spending (laughter have returned from a visit
the summer months, with friends in Kalamazoo.
Mrs. Ben Jacobs entertained at
the Temple Theater in honor of
Miss Marie Teller, Mrs. Davis of
Chicago and Mrs. Broad. The
other members of the party were
Mrs. Oscar Greenberg, Mrs. Peter
Vass and Mrs. Hersh.
Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Lichten-
stein.left for the west this week.
Dr. Ruby Goldstone has re-
turned from Watkins Glen, New
York, where he has been visiting
his fiancee. •
The many friends of little Miss
Alice Weinberg , will be glad to
know that she has now fully 'recov-
ered from her recent attack of
measles.
Master Herbert Weil has been
the guest of his aunt and uncle,
Mr. and Mrs. David Eppstein, at
San Souci, St. Clair Flats.
Mr. Gustave Kahn, of Youngs-
town, 0., spent a short time in the
city last week.
