Large Memorial Meeting for Dr.
Theodore Herzl Scheduled
for Sunday.
Members of all Zionist socie-
ties in the city will honor the
memory of their immortal leader,
Dr. Theodore IIerzl, at a memo-
rial mass meeting to be held Sun-
day at 2:30 p. m. at the Shaarcy
/Ad: Synagogue. Mr. Shenkin,
well known in Zionist circles and
who has but recently returned
from Palestine, will have a lead-
ing place on the program of
speakers. l i e will deliver an
eulogy on Theodore 1 lerzl. The
memorial services will be con-
ducted by Joseph Rosenblatt of
New York, internationally famous
cantor.
On the following evening a
special meeting for all Zionists
and their friends will take place
at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue.
Mr. Shenkin will also be the prin-
cipal speaker upon that occasion.
Following his address a public
reception will be held at which he
will be the guest of honor.

Will Be on Order of Similar Clubs
in Other Cities.
At a meeting of the Organiza-
tion Committee, recently ap-
pointed by Pisgah Lodge, I. 0.
IL, to take charge of the Nvork of
founding a social club composed
of B'nai B'rith members, Chair-
man Adolph Freund outlined a
program to be followed by the
committee. Air. Samuel J.
Rhodes vas appointed chairman
of a sub-committee to draft a con-
stitution for the proposed organi-
sation, and Messrs. Bernard Gins-
burg- and J. Miller were selected
to lead, respectively, sub-com-
mittees on Finance and Building.
I t is planned to model the new
club largely on the lines of simi-
lar organizations existing in
Cleveland and other cities. At
first it will be housed in quarters,
conveniently located near the
down-town district, which \di
be rented for the purpose. Later
it is hoped that a special club
building will be erected. The
club house, in addition to a library
