DETROIT B'NAI B'RITH
TO HONOR SIMON WOLF

Local Committee Plans Worthy
Recognition to Jewish
Patriarch.

In celebration of the eightieth
birthday anniversary of Simon
Wolf of Washington, D. C., one of
the foremost representatives of
American Jews, commonly called
"the grand old man" of American
Jewry, a nation-wide campaign is
being waged by the order of B'nai
I3'rith, of which Mr. Wolf is a
staunch member, to create a fund
in proper recognition of the latter's
services. Pisgah Lodge, the De-
troit branch of the organization, is
planning to take an active part in
the campaign. At the last meeting
of the lodge, President J. Miller ap-
pointed the following committee to
enlist the support of the Jews of
Detroit in the movement for a
proper testimonial in honor of
Simon Wolf : Louis Rosenberg,
chairman ; Messrs. Adolph Freund,
Joseph L. Selling and Bernard Gins-
burg.

Are you a business man
—or a laborer?

1

It isn't a question of whether you
work for wages or draw an income.
Many a manual laborer is a good
business man — many men on big
salaries are merely laborers.
If you save a part of what you
earn, you are a good business man
—if you spend it all you are nothing
but a laborer, dependent on others
for existence.
