In the absence of Dr. IL C.
Sharp, who was announced to
speak at Temple Ileth El last
Sunday, an address was delivered
by Dr. II. T. Andrews of Minne-
sota. Dr. Andrews was delegated
to deliver this address, by the
American Medical Association,
which is holding its annual con-
vention in the city this week.

The closing exercises of the
Shaarev Zedek Sabbath Schttol
will take place on Sunday after-
noon, June 18, at 2:30. An en-
tertainment will be given by the
children. Parents and friends are
invited to be present.

Sabbath services at the Temple
w i 1 I continue uninterruptedly
throughout the summer, begin-
ning at 10:30.

The closing exercises of the re-
ligious school were held last Sun-
day morning. A feature of the ex-

ercises was a debate on the sub-
ject, "Shall immigration he re-
stricted?" The judges decided ill
favor of the negative, which was
upheld by the girl debaters.

Two gold medals were awarded
to pupils of the Sabbath School
for essays on the subject, "What
it means to me to be a Jew." The
prize winners were Dorothy
