week in Toledo as the guest of her
sister, Mrs. M. Rosenberg.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Sommerich
of New York are receiving congrat-
ulations upon the birth of a daugh-
ter. Mrs. Sommerich was Miss
Clara Hart of Detroit.
.Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Marks
and son, who have been spending
some time in the east, expect to re-
turn to Detroit in the near future.
Mr. Marks spent a few days in the
city last week.
Mr. A. Kahn was a visitor in
New York last week.
Mr. Adolph Sempliner has left
for his home in Cleveland after a
short stay in the city.
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Sloman
and Miss Irma Sloman will leave
the end of June for their summer
home at Sans Souci, Harsen's
Island.
Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Rice of
Cleveland expect to make Detroit
their home in the near future.
Miss Judith Ginsburg spent the
week-end in Ann Arbor.

Mr. and Mrs. Daniel I lirschlield
and son, formerly of Houghton, are
residing in Detroit.
Mr. and Mrs. L. Berger of Buf-
falo will arrive in the city next
week to remain until after the Ro-
sengarten-Berger wedding.
Mr. Joseph M. Weiss was ap-
pointed to the office of sergeant-at-
arms at the Republican National
Convention in Chicago.
Mr. and Mrs. A. Brandy and
daughter, Doris joy, are the guests
of Mrs Brandy's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. D. Lightner of Cleveland.
Mr. and Mrs. II. Elbinger have
been visiting in Cleveland, where
they went to attend the wedding of
Miss Augusta Koplo, to Mr. Jack
Sacherman, which took place Sun-
day evening.
Dr. S. Englander of Cleveland at-
tended the medical convention in
Detroit during the past week.
Mrs. Nathan Sloss, who has been
the guest of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Adolph Sloman, has returned
to her home in Cleveland. Many
informal affairs were given in com-
pliment to Mrs. Sloss during her
visit.
