Frankel of Atlanta, has been chosen by the Jewish Stu- dents' Congregation of the [niver- sity of Michigan to the presidency of that organization for the ensuing year. Alt, Frankel is a student of the Law Department and a Junior in college. lie has established an presidency of the organization. Miss Ginsburg is very popular among her classmates, as is attested by her election to her present office. The Jewish Students' Congrega- tion of the Cniversity of Michigan occupies a unique position among religious organizations in American colleges, since it is the first Jewish society of its nature in this country. It was, founded three years ago by Rabbi Leo M. Franklin of this city, and was modeled by him after the Jewish Students' Congregation at Oxford College in England. It is today a thriving organization with a membership close to one hundred. The love and high esteem in which Rabbi Franklin is held by the youth- ful members of the Congregation was touchingly portrayed recently when they elected him as their hon- orary president.
